A quick alert this morning on Landen Capital Corporation (LAN.V - $0.38). LAN has undergone a transformation starting a new Ni-Cu project in Ivory Coast, West Africa. A very talented group of folks has gotten together to pursue a gem they've held in their back pocket for years. The new CEO Dr. Marc-Antoine Audet, also known as mr. Nickel, with a very impressive resume of Ni exploration is being joined by Ron Netolitzky and Jens Hansen both of whom have extensive experience in mining industry in general and in Africa in particular. Folks this is a powerhouse of mining exploration and financing knowledge with excellent connections and a huge following. This project is in it's infancy, yet the exploration work is already advanced with drills already turning. Note that their partner in Ivory Coast is a local government affiliated company and these folks know Africa very well, so the political risk is diminished. We could have some great drill results as early as summer.
I will publish a detailed report soon but I wanted to get this alert out now because I suspect there could be a lot of excitement around this play. I participated in the $0.20 financing and I will be accumulating shares on the open market. I said accumulating as opposed to buying because the stock is traded very thinly. With the attention I expect to see in this stock we could see $0.75 very soon. Also if any of the holes hit the kind of results we are hoping for this could quickly become a multi-$ stock. If the drills miss their target and we have a slow summer then the risk is that we go down to I'd guess $0.23.
In conclusion, this is a spec play. I think the risk is limited to about $0.23, but the upside is fantastic, possibly a ten bagger. I am in because of management's reputation and project potential. LAN has released several NRs of late and you can quickly browse through to get an understanding of the project. I will look into slow accumulation in this range and keep you posted on the story as things develop
ps. We'd also like to say goodbye to one of our original founders of the letter. Dr. Essam Hamza has been transitioning out of the letter for a while now and pursuing other ventures. We will stay in close touch with his research and investments. On behalf of of this letter and our subscribers we wish to thank him for his many years of excellent insight.
